SCO0065 - SpyMe and HamachiX - Remote Control - Extra! Only Show

Another Extra! members only show this week, but I've included a special taster version in the free feed.

Well we've all been there, your friend or relative is having some issues with their mac and you just know that if you could spend a few minutes on the machine you'd have it sorted in minutes! The only problem being that the mac is several hundred miles away!

This weeks show gives you a view on a simple solution for just this scenario and shows you an inexpensive product which allows you to remotely access and control a mac, together with another application which is free and allows you to setup a secure virtual private network (or VPN) across the Internet even traversing firewalls and eliminating problems with NAT.

The two applications are SpyMe and Hamachi - In fact, we also look at HamachiX which is an unofficial graphical front end for Hamachi on OSX.
