MyFitnessPal is a fantastic way to keep on track of your health and start getting back into shape.
It's a frictionless way of keeping track of your calorie intake and your exercise. It's good fun to scan and record your food using the built in camera on your iPhone or iPad, to access an online database of foods.
MyFitnessPal also has a built in social network and integrates with a variety of monitoring tools and 3rd party websites.

It's an iOS mini montage this week, covering five simple but fun to use applications:
Hyperlapse - Generate super smooth animated timelapses.
Streets - Get Google street view back on your iPad or iPhone
Hanx Writer - Turn your iPad into an old school typewriter
Rules - An addictive game
Percentages - Maths not your strong point? Use Percentages
After playing with animated GIFs on this week's Mac show, I wanted to see what was available on iOS.
Giffer Pro is an amazing app that allows you to create animated GIFs from your iPhone or iPad camera, from a series of still images or from an imported video clip. You can create your own library of GIFs or share via it's built in web service or via social media, email or iMessages/SMS.
It also includes support for creating CinemaGraphs - animated GIFs where just a portion of the GIF is animated - very cool!
Giffer Pro is both simple to use and yet offers amazing control over the creation and editing of your GIFs
As promised a short break from iOS7 this week.
In this week's IOS show, Todd Olthoff takes us through DeskConnect for IOS, an application that allows you to share photos, urls, documents and your clipboard from a single iOS device to all your other iOS devices and even your Macs.
You're at your local coffee shop using their free WiFi. Just how secure are you? Not very secure as it turns out!
You need to use a VPN or Virtual Private Network to create a secure "tunnel" out of the free wifi zone, to prevent anyone being able to snoop on your data locally.
This week, Todd Olthoff takes a look at Cloak for iOS, an inexpensive VPN client for your iPhone or iPad. The Mac version is covered in this week's Mac show. Cloak creates a secure connection between you and the Cloak servers to secure your data. As an added bonus, the builtin "Cloak Transporter" service allows you to mimic being connected in other countries, ideal for when you're away from home yet want to access
InterConneX is a new iPad application from Econ Technologies - the developers of ChronoSync and ChronoAgent. So now you can access, sync and organise your files from your Mac to your iPad and back again. You can also sync and transfer your files from one iPad to another.
InterConneX allows you to create "Sharespaces" - centralised containers on your iPad. You can create local Sharespaces , remote Sharespaces to share with other iPads or ChronoAgent Sharespaces to view and access files on your Mac from your iPad. With ChronoSync, you can synchronise files directly from your Mac to your iPad.
The Sharespaces can be private or public, and optionally secured with a username and password. The possibilities are mind blowing!
AirDrop on Mountain Lion is great, but it would be even better if it supported iOS devices. Step forward Instashare!
Instashare is a great new app for transferring files using your local Wifi network or Bluetooth. It allows you to transfer files to your Mac or iOS device seamlessly and has support for all file types.
Create beautiful letterpress cards with the revised Cards app for iPhone and now iPad. Cards is a simple but effective app from Apple, that allows you to use your own photos and images to create and mail all sorts of cards directly from your iOS device.
I also take a brief look at some of the new features in the updated iBooks 3.0 app, now updated with a new continuous scrolling theme, full iCloud integration and the ability to share passages from certain books.
