As a subscriber to screencastsonline I have always enjoyed learning with Don's tutorials. I didn't think Don could do any better but with the addition of this interactive magazine I am left to wonder if Don rests at all! Refreshing way to read and learn. I am looking forward to each edition. Thoroughly recommend! I love the style and feel I will watch videos which I may not have made time to watch from my podcast list. Presentation and design of the magazine is perfect to sit back and enjoy. Makes owning an iPad even better. Well done Don and other winner, I just love this. Bev

A suggestion: the Macword has a mechanism to switch articles to a text mode. This is particularly helpful to visually impaired

This magazine is the perfect complement to the ScreencastOnline subscription. In a addition to the fabulous articles by the likes of David Sparks and Allison Sheridan, we have easy access to previous tutorials for easy reference. Good job Don!

This is truly a must have especially for learners. With the videos the value is excellent. The layout & variety is variable . As a subscriber to both Mac & IOS this is still highly enjoyable & a great read. Looking forward to the next issue already

The devoted members of the SreenCastsOnline weekly video tutorials offered by Don McAllister are well aware of the fact that not only are they the best one can find on the Internet but also that they can be quite addictive to watch! I am sure that his newly launched project, the SCO Monthly Mag, will provide another great venue for lots of new people who crave to explore the full potential of their Apple devices to benefit from his very methodical, knowledgable and professional way of delivering online tutorials.

This is an ideal route to access the ScreenCasts Online content. Some excellent guest writers too.

Of course I am bias, because I am a member of Screencastonline, but if you truly want quality stuff subscribe to both Screencastonline and the Monthly Mag, good stuff. Oh yes you might also want to try British Mac Podcast, Ewen and Green, funny and informative.

Don McAllister has done it again. I've gotten to know him, virtually , via e-mail and Twitter, by being a Charter Member of his must-subscribe podcast ScreenCasts Online, since it was introduced. This app is a good way to see how just how valuable Don's knowledge of the OS X/iOS environment can be. For brand new switchers or veterans like me, there is always something to learn. From apps like SpamSieve and Tweetbot for Mac, or Launch Center Pro for iOS, to tips and tricks for both Mac and iOS. Give this a spin, you'll love it.

As expected, Don has provided all of us with a quality product. I've been a subscriber to his screencasts since I purchased my first Mac three years ago. I consider myself a knowledgable Mac user now and it is all because of the podcasts by Don, and even so - I still learn something new EVERY week watching his weekly screencasts. This magazine is an extension of that. If you are a new user don't miss this opportunity to learn from the best. If you are an experienced user then you already know you will want this.

This is a Great Addition to the ScreenCastsOnline Training products. In addition to Don's First Class training, included are great articles from some of the Best Trainers out there. Looking forward to future issues.

As always, Don McAllister - ScreenCastsOnline creator and producer - did a great job putting together a monthly magazine to give everyone convenient access to his very comprehensive and well realized tutorials for OS X and iOS… but not only… he added some great, concise and informative articles written by very knowledgeable contributors… all this packaged in a nice, modern and clean layout, with videos ( Note : video streaming requires Internet connection ). Only small complaint : needs a bit more pictures and content beyond actual tutorials and the implementation of landscape orientation ( videos can be viewed full screen, but mag is portrait mode only…) subscription is not expensive and offers great value ( actual SCO members can get a code for free AppStore subscription ) - Great job !!

I am a long time subscriber of ScreenCastsOnline and love everything Don is producing. It is so well done and brings me up to date with the latest apple technology and helps me master ist. Keep up the brilliant work Don.

Screencasts Online is one of the best resources for the Apple range of devices, from Macs to iPhones and iPads. Don has a great teaching style. This is yet another way of getting his teachings and opens up the Screencasts experience to more people in a very accessible format. Give it a try, you have nothing to lose with there being a free sample. If your already a Screencasts member then it's a no brainer. Great App, the format works very well. @number6uk

Just lost most of last night's sleep going cover to cover of this first issue of ScreenCastsOnline Monthly Magazine. All I can say is wow and thank you Don! When I was about 20 pages into David Sparks' seminal iBooks Author #Paperless, I said to myself Don McAllister is going to do something like this and it would be a perfect compliment to ScreenCastsOnline. Low and behold, Don has done it and it is, indeed, the perfect compliment. What's more, MacSparky winds up contributing to the inaugural. Perfect! I have the same criticism of this as I did of Paperless. It's way under priced.

As always Don has delivered a great quality product for us Mac/IOS users.

Just like everyone else has said, the first issue shows promise and I have no doubt this will become the best Mac publication out there. I highly suggest going to screencastsonline.com and becoming a member rather than purchasing through iTunes though. For a little bit more money, you'll get access to all of the videos (hundreds) and the ability to download and save the videos. Access codes to download this magazine are included with the website membership.

I lack appropriate superlatives for this app/zine. Blows MacWorld, MacUser and all the others -- still inexplicably wedded to the old school format -- outta da water. Hell, pushes em right off the planet! Get this, now. You'll actually smile when hitting the Submit button to subscribe! (A personal first: I actually agreed to pass on my email and zip code -- THAT's how good this is. Just wanna reward the dev!)

It's great to see Don branching out into the Apple Newsstand. The first issue shows a lot of promise and, if you're not already a subscriber to Screencastsonline, this is a great Segway into the ever helpful hints and tips dispensed week-in week-out. As a realitive newcomer to the 'Apple-sphere' most if not all my newfound knowledge has come via Dons teaching videos. Thanks for creating yet another great way to consume the wealth of Apple centric information!

Don McAllister has done it again. He has expanded the tutorial space to all. This monthly magazine format is fantastic.

This is a great alternative to the ScreecastsOnline video podcasts and saves some effort on subscriptions. The mag page design is excellent and it generally works well, although I personally find the 'page curl' animation a little ostentatious but that's just my tastes. The only downside is on my iPad -original model- I see occasional 'quits to home screen' with a warning the app is using too much memory. Maybe a little more optimization/testing on the first gen iPad?

This is a great APP for learning both IOS and MAC applications. Great work Don!

Don has knocked it out of the park with this app! I'm a subscriber over on ScreenCasts Online and owe more than I can say to Don. His tutorials quite literally changed my life. I'm a professor and had been doing some screencasts of my lectures. Don's 4-part series on ScreenFlow usage revolutionized my workflow to the point where my coursework is now totally online. My wife and I have moved to the beautiful mountains of Payson Arizona and my fiber connection to the internet has me serving up some amazing lecture content to my students. Much of the credit for this success goes to Don's outstanding presentations. GET IT - who knows, it just might change your life!

Well Don you've done it again, a great idea, just right for the iPad and with the special subscription price of only £4.99 a month in these cash strapped times is money very well spent. I've subscribed and i am looking forward to future issues, with your expert knowledge I know this magazine will teach me something new every month......well done mate!
