ScreenCastsOnline Viewer Testimonials
There's nothing like blowing your own trumpet so I've decided to post a few unsolicited testimonials from ScreenCastsOnline viewers. You never know, it may pursuade you if you're sitting on the fence about joining as a ScreenCastsOnline Extra! member. Many, many thanks to all those who have taken the time to write!Incredible product and service.....
Hi Don,After discovering your podcasts by accident while looking for a more advanced tool to make my own screencast tutorials for my web clients, (finally settled on ScreenFlow, like you, after using SnapZPro for a number of years along with FCP) I decided to register as an Extra! subscriber. I can't tell you how much I enjoy watching your screencasts. For me, they are a tremendous time saver to be able to quickly understand a concept or software or workflow system without having to do all the initial research myself. If it looks like something I can use, then I have the confidence that additional time and/or monetary investment will be worthwhile. I'm past 50 and have been using Windows, Linux, and Macs since the early 80's; most consider me a true geek in about every sense of the word; however I also have a family and a life outside the Internet and your tutorials have helped me figure out ways to be more efficient in my workflow, and given me insights into tools that can further enhance my productivity without stealing more time away from other priorities in life. With ScreenCastsOnline to quickly bring me up to speed in so many areas, I can stay focused and happily productive.
For years I've relied on TidBITs as a major resource/support network to assist me; now I include ScreenCastsOnline as an equal partner in that endeavor. Thanks again. I wish you all the success you so aptly deserve in providing this incredible product and service.
Best regards,
Jeffrey
Setting the standards....
Don,I was pleased to become one of your newer subscribers today, and look forward to exploring you wealth of material. I'm a "sort-of" switcher. I actually had one of the earliest Macs back in 1985 or so, but found that my only consulting opportunities at the time were on the DOS platform. Since then, I've also worked with Windows (of course), as well as Unix and Linux, at various times.
As a former technical trainer myself, I couldn't be more impressed with the quality and thoughtfulness you bring to your presentations. The videos are stunning, but the content is golden. You definitely set the standards for Mac training!
Thanks.
George
Simply fantastic....
Dear Don;Thank you for running ScreenCastsOnline. It's simply fantastic! Personally my intent was to build a website that includes contact forms, podcasts, and more in order to promote my yoga classes. With elegant simplicity, your site served as a foundation to get things up and running with unexpected ease. Looking at the log of past episodes I see that I've barely scratched the surface of what you offer, and that you've made many more keys available for unlocking the potential of the Mac. Thank you Don for utilizing a facile mind and an amicable character in service of simplifying the complex for those of us learning to navigate in the digital age.

After much scrutiny.....
Dear Sir;I have been watching you and your little podcast for some time now. At first I thought you were just another of those harmless podcasters who fling out their little show soon to be forgotten amid the din of the internet. I had just bought my first Mac (mini) and had nary a clue of a clue what to do. Therefore, I continued to watch your podcast. And learned. And learned. Then I thought "HE'S SOLD OUT!!!! HE'S GONE COMMERCIAL!!" when I saw the subscription service appear on my horrified screen. It fairly gasped in reaction to the developement I tell you! Well, here I am, grudgingly acquiescing that you indeed are a valuable resource that should be duly rewarded for providing an awesome, intelligent, non-condescending presentation of information I would never take the time myself to track down. All kidding aside, I wish there were more out there like you Don. It makes computing much more fun when you have fun things YOU UNDERSTAND and know how to work with. I truly hope the venture has proven to be enriching enough for you to continue for a long time. Now when I get my fix of SCO, I do it knowing I am helping a tiny bit for it to continue. I feel good....... mmmmmmmmm

Hi Don,I'm looking to own a Mac and have been watching some of your podcasts, I have to say that I think Steve Jobs needs to pat you on the back, until I watched some of your tutorials I was unsure about getting a Mac, now I CAN'T wait.

Rapidweaver, SiteGround and a big Thank You!
Hi Don,I just had to send you this short email to give you a HUGE thanks for your tutorials! I bought and learned Rapidweaver after watching your screencasts and I have just subscribed to SiteGround after you taught me how to use an internet hosting provider.
Until watching ScreenCastsOnline I hadn't got a clue how to make a website or get it onto the internet, but thanks to you I now have my own website that I can change and update any time I want to. A local company wanted £6000 to design a site for me and charge me again every time I wanted to change it - so I would say that your service is extremely good value for money!
Thanks again Don.
Alan
Thanks
Dear Don,I am so glad I found you before I got too messed up using xxxxxx.com. I was so dissatisfied with their service and software that I searched for software to build a website designed on and for Macs. I found RapidWeaver and then found Screencastsonline. I have watched several of your free tutorials and just paid up to be a member.
Your instruction is so clear and at the same time does not assume I’m an idiot. I’m about to download RapidWeaver and I will be contacting SiteGround in the next couple of days to transfer my domain name.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for saving me many more hours of frustration.
Warmly,
Marta
Thank You!
Hi Don,I’d just thank you for a brilliant series of podcasts. I’ve been a PC user for 12 years now & stumbled across your podcast at Christmas after looking to put something on my new IPod.
Watching over the past few months has actually persuaded me to invest in a Mac book pro instead of updating my PC, I had no idea of the capabilities of the Mac or the amazing software available for it. It didn’t take much to for me to decide to upgrade to an Extra membership........
One of the things I liked was your non bias podcast regarding PC Vs Mac. Your presentations are very clear & easy to understand, I now use them in conjunction with the book I have bought to learn about Mac OX as reading alone often leaves me with more questions. I do however seem to have left it too late to benefit from some of the special offers/discounts available for some of the applications I will be buying, but hopefully there will be more coming along soon.
The Forum is an excellent addition to the podcast & website & as soon as I get my new Mac (awaiting delivery) I can get up & running & start posting on the Forum too.
Thanks once again Don & good luck with your other ventures.
Wayne

Don,Last week I subscribed to your Sco Extra...I spent the entire week-end on it, and I must say it is the best tutorial that I ever had.
It's amazing your ability to simplify and take away all the fear even from complex programs, making the learning an absolute pleasure.

Feedback from a viewer
Don,I have been using computers for more almost 25 years now, and are pretty new to the Mac (mostly used the old 8-bit computers, OS/2, Linux and a tiny bit of windows) -- and I have learned something new on almost every show I have seen from you.
The presentation is very nice and I love that it is free of all those fancy effects that people like to overuse. You're voice is very clear and your pronunciation is very easy to understand for someone none-native in english.
Keep up the good work! What you are doing here are very helpful and saves me a lot of time to investigate things myself. :-)

Just Great Work!!
Hi Don,I can't tell you how rare it is that I contact someone to tell them what a great piece of work it is they have done - well at least not in the public domain.
I left a note at the Podcasts review as I fell across your website last week, and after the first free one I had to sign up. I have been a PC user for over 20yrs and the switch to a Mac was a little tough at the end of the year. I couldn't really see what all the fuss was about, besides the nifty graphics. But your work has really brought the Mac to life and even taught me things I didn't know about stuff I use, like 1Password.
Anyway, had to drop you a line to say this is just amazing work.
Many thanks and good luck,
Ian
Your Outstanding Screencasts
Hi Don,I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say how pleased I was to discover ScreenCastsOnline, and how grateful I am that you decided to produce these invaluable aids to enjoying the world of the Mac.
I worked with I.T. for 15 years before seeing the light and moving to Mac from PC's, and your screen casts enabled me to make that transition with consummate ease. The production quality of your work is second to none, your delivery and presentation couldn't be better if you tried and the depth and breadth of each screencast is just enough to both learn 'how', and then to put that new knowledge into action.
I have no doubt that your diligence in the pursuit of quality and your (obviously) genuine desire to teach others the pleasures of all that is Mac, will provide you with your just deserts.
I wish you every success in 2007, and just wanted to remind you that all your efforts are gratefully appreciated.
All the very best,
Colin
