A huge missing part of iOS has been the support for capturing taps and gestures system-wide. This has resulted in the need for manual annotation and animation, greatly increasing the effort and time needed to produce iOS screencasts.
With the newly introduced support for Bluetooth pointing devices in iOS 13 and iPadOS 13, we are now able to capture taps and gestures during recording. In this tip video, Don gives you some pointers (excuse the pun) on how you can optimise this new mechanism for use in your own screen recordings.

ScreenFlow 8 is an amazing all-in-one solution for the capturing, editing and exporting of screencasts. This is a fantastic way for you to capture and spread knowledge, whether it's for friends, family, colleagues or even documenting processes or procedures for yourself.
Although both iOS 12 and macOS Mojave already have built-in capabilities for recording your screen, they are fairly rudimentary. ScreenFlow is truly optimised for screen captures and is also a full-featured video editor in its own right.
Due to the complexity and feature-rich nature of ScreenFlow, we're going to spread the tutorial over three episodes: the first episode, SCOM0815, introduced the basics of ScreenFlow. In Part 2, Don covers more hints and tips on working with clips on the timeline, gives you a tour of several of the inspectors, and shows you how they integrate with your screencasting and editing workflow.
The series will conclude in a couple of weeks with the third and final episode, where we'll look at some of the more advanced features in ScreenFlow 8.
