Sending large attachments via email can be troublesome and invariably requires third-party services or applications. However, with Mail Drop and Apple Mail, the complexities are swept away and it's never been easier to send large files. Even better, it's built into macOS and iOS.
With a generous limit of 5GB per email, you can send huge files to any recipient. Files transferred via Mail Drop are available to download for 30 days, and you can transfer up to 1TB of data in that 30-day period, without impacting on your iCloud storage.
In this tip video, Don takes you through configuring and using Mail Drop on macOS, iOS, and iCloud.com.

Apple Mail rules allow you to create and run complex commands on incoming mail, allowing you to filter, organise or even respond automatically to messages.
In this week's tip, I take a look at some simple Apple Mail rules that demonstrate their potential power. The only downside to setting up rules locally on your Mac is that Mail needs to be running and there is no sync mechanism.
In next week's tip video, I will take a look at running Apple Mail rules on iCloud.com so that they're active 24/7, and also trickle down to your iOS devices.

Apple Mail on macOS allows you to create multiple email signatures and format them with a range of fonts and colours. You can have multiple email signatures per account, and across different accounts.
It's also possible to copy the formatted email signatures across to iOS, although Mail on iOS supports a single email signature per account.
In this short tip video, I demonstrate how to create your email signature in Mail on macOS and transfer across to your iPad using Universal Clipboard.

Both Mail and Calendar have received minor updates in iOS8 and in this episode I pick out the most significant.
One of the best new features in iOS 8 Mail is the ability to triage your email with configurable gestures - swipe left or right to action your email.
I take you through the not so obvious way to re-configure the swipe gestures to suit your way of working.
I also take a brief look at Family Sharing in iOS 8
