Tutorial Description

The new MacBook Pro and Touch Bar has certainly courted controversy since its launch a few weeks ago. In this episode, I take a first look at the new MacBook Pro and the impact of using the new Touch Bar.

Most of Apple's core software and apps have been updated to take advantage of the new Touch Bar, and more third party apps with Touch Bar support are being released every day.

As well as using the Touch Bar with some of the more common apps, I take a look at how to configure the Touch Bar and how it works with one of my favourite apps - 1Password.

I also take a look at a really clever utility - Touché by Red Sweater Software that allows you use a software version of the Touch Bar on any Mac.

Large White letter subtitles cannot be turned off. They obscure the on-screen area where the actual touch bar is being shown. Haven't been able to turn it off. Am I missing something?

I should note I CAN turn off a smaller typeface version of the subtitles with the popup menu in the viewer window. I can not turn off a second, larger text version of the subtitle.

Hi Ray, Sounds like you have the subtitles switch on in Safari (which is separate to the HTML5 player. See these instructions to switch them off. https://screencastsonline.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205986221-Double-Subtitles-Nov-2015
