YNAB is a financial software application that has all of the basics needed for tracking and managing your accounts, but it does so using a budgeting interface that helps you track your spending so you are in control of where your money goes.
YNAB includes both a typical register for tracking your individual accounts and daily transactions, as well as a robust budgeting system that can be customized to fit your needs. Where this application differs from other money management programs is that it comes with a method of how to work with your money, and ways to be successful in setting up a budgeting system that is not too rigid and allows you to roll with any changes or challenges that life may throw your way.
YNAB is a web-based application. It lets you view your finances and spending from any computer with a web browser, making it easy to access no matter what device you are using. There is an iPhone and iPad application, and a macOS version is on its way, for those who like having it on their Mac.
In this episode, Todd Olthoff will walk you through the YNAB approach to budgeting, and take you through all the steps to managing your money using the application.
