Have you ever wished you could do more with the built-in Apple Mail app on your Mac? Well with MailSuite, you can. MailSuite combines four powerful email tools in a single Apple Mail plugin, giving you the power and flexibility you need to crank through mountains of email effortlessly and still keep it all neatly organized.

This week, Mike explains how to take your email game to the next level using the different tools included in MailSuite. You'll learn how to apply rules to emails using keystrokes, apply tags and keywords to messages, set up custom perspectives when working on a big project, and how to set up signatures that you can use across email accounts.

Invariably, working on the Mac involves a multitude of different apps, different information sources, and different file formats. But invariably, it's difficult to manage and it becomes a burden or, we might end up abandoning it altogether. This is where Hook (now known as Hookmark) comes in.

Hook is a unique application that solves the problem in an elegant and simple-to-use fashion. Use Hook to "link" documents, images, videos, web pages, and more, using simple keystrokes or drag and drop. Your files can reside anywhere on your system and Hook makes it very simple to switch between them, keep everything accessible.

TextExpander 6 from Smile includes some incredibly powerful tools to increase your productivity when typing on your Mac. In this Foundation tutorial, Allison starts out slowly introducing simple text expansion snippets to bring the beginners up to speed. Then she quickly accelerates and moves into advanced topics such as nesting snippets, doing math on dates, and fill-in snippets.

You learn how to subscribe to other people's shared snippet groups as well as sharing your own. Each step of the tutorial builds on previous knowledge in a way that brings everyone up to speed for maximum productivity. TextExpander is likely to provide you with the highest productivity boost of any app you can install on your Mac.

Recent updates have brought further improvements to Pages, Numbers and Keynote.

In this tip video, Don looks at the new ability to add Table of Contents to Pages for Mac and iOS. The Table of Contents can be used to navigate your Pages documents as well as exported PDF and ePUB documents.

You also learn about the creation and syncing of custom shapes across all your iCloud devices.

The third and final part of our look at ScreenFlow 8, the fantastic video editor, optimised for creating, editing and publishing screencasts.

ScreenFlow 8 is an amazing all-in-one solution for the capturing, editing and exporting of screencasts. This is a fantastic way for you to capture and spread knowledge, whether it's for friends, family, colleagues or even documenting processes or procedures for yourself.

Although both iOS 12 and macOS Mojave already have built-in capabilities for recording your screen, they are fairly rudimentary. ScreenFlow is truly optimised for screen captures and is also a full-featured video editor in its own right.

Due to the complexity and feature-rich nature of ScreenFlow, we're going to spread the tutorial over three episodes: the first episode, SCOM0815, introduced the basics of ScreenFlow. In Part 2, Don covers more hints and tips on working with clips on the timeline, gives you a tour of several of the inspectors, and shows you how they integrate with your screencasting and editing workflow.

The series will conclude in a couple of weeks with the third and final episode, where we'll look at some of the more advanced features in ScreenFlow 8.

In this tutorial, Richard revisits Word, Excel and PowerPoint and shows you some useful tips and tricks to make your life easier when using these powerful apps.

You learn how to create page and section breaks and convert existing text to a table in Word, merge cells and use the format painter in Excel, as well as distribute objects on your slide and organise your slides into sections in PowerPoint.

If you need or want to connect into other Macs or PCs in your home or business via your Mac or your iPad, you'll want to take a look at Jump Desktop. This remote desktop application supports standard protocols like RDP (to connect to Windows Server and Windows Professional machines) and VNC, but those protocols require advanced networking knowledge to use outside of a local network.

Jump Desktop includes its own remote desktop protocol called Fluid which allows you to connect from anywhere in the world with no network configuration at all.

In this week's show, Allison walks through how to install a free application called Jump Desktop Connect on the machines you want to control. She'll also show how to connect from an iPad and introduce the features that allow you to easily control a desktop interface using a touch interface.

With so many web applications and services available, it's becoming possible to automate more and more things. Zapier is the glue that can make all your web apps and services work together and do things you never thought possible.

In this episode, Don takes you through the basics of using Zapier using examples with Slack, OmniFocus, and MailChimp - just three of the 1000+ apps and services available to be integrated using Zapier.

In Part 1 of our Foundations series on RapidWeaver 8 we covered the basics of setting up your own personal website. You learned everything you needed to know to build a website, do some basic customization, and then publish to the internet.
