Drafts has long been a favourite third-party application of the ScreenCastsOnline team. You can use it on its own as a note repository, or send text to other applications, meaning it can be as complicated, or as simple as you need.
If you want to use it as a storage space for all of your notes and ideas, it's important to file them correctly and that's where tagging can be a great help. In this video, Lee walks you through the nuances of tagging in Drafts and how you can use advanced tags, such as Scoped Tags, to file (and find) your notes efficiently.

We've covered Drafts for iOS in the past, and it is now available on macOS!
Drafts is where text starts and is intended to be the first app you think of when wanting to input text. Just open Drafts and start writing. Once in Drafts, you can decide where to send your text using the Share sheet or copy and paste. With Drafts Pro, you can sync your drafts using iCloud, so use Drafts on the iPhone or iPad and your text will be waiting for you when you sit at your Mac.
Drafts for iOS has an extensive library of Actions that allow you to integrate with a huge number of apps and perform seemingly limitless multi-step tasks. Actions have yet to be implemented on the Mac version, but it's still a hugely powerful application as it stands.
In this tutorial, Don takes you through the basics of using Drafts on macOS, and gives you a quick refresher on the latest iOS version.

Two applications in this week's tutorial, both from the same vendor.
The main focus of the tutorial is Drafts, a new application intended to remove the friction of entering short text notes on your iOS device.
Just fire up the app and you'll be presented with a new note - no creating or naming required. Once you've entered the text, you can send it to all sorts of places - Twitter, email, clipboard, etc.
Add in Markdown and TextExpander touch support, and it's earned a place in my doc.
I also take a look at Terminology, a great Dictionary/Thesaurus application with native integration with Drafts and other applications.
