Tutorial Description

Creating repeating events in calendar applications can save a lot of time, however what about those events that don't follow a regular schedule, yet are similar in configuration? Creating these again and again can be tiresome.

With Fantastical, there is no need for this as it allows you to create both event and task templates. Lee shows you how to do this on both Mac and iOS in this week's tip.

The full tutorial covers:

  • Templates on the Mac
  • Templates on iPad
  • Templates for Tasks
  • Some Real World Examples

Thanks for another great tutorial, Lee!

It's worth noting that templates can now be reordered. Simply tap and hold on a template and drag it to a new location. I verified that this works on the Mac, iPhone, and iPad and that the order is synced across all of the devices. I keep my templates in alphabetical order to make them easier to find.

Thanks Tim! I didn't know about the re-ordering but just validated that. Another great addition to a great app.
