Whether you're already athletic, or if you want to get into better shape with the help of the Apple Watch, these ++ apps from Cross Forward Consulting might enhance your activity tracking.
The Apple Watch comes with both standard Workout and Activity apps that can show metrics on the watch as well as on the iPhone. Unfortunately, you can't control what metrics you see on the Apple Watch whilst doing a workout. With Workouts++ you can create custom watch faces for each type of workout you do, allowing you to display different metrics and even graphs on the Apple Watch.
In this tutorial, Allison Sheridan demonstrates the configuration of Workouts++ using real workout data, as well as how to use the information collected from your workouts in Activity++ and Pedometer++.
Whether you're an athlete, or just want to get more active, these apps will help make your workouts more fun.

Allison, I am running a bit behind but did very much enjoy your show. I noticed when you demonstrated the Apple watch activity app at the very beginning of the video that after elapsed time and active calories there was the BPM and then distance. Trouble is I do not have the BPM on this screen?? I do have a first gen watch. Could that be my problem? If I bought the plus plus version would I be able to have this feature on my first gen watch
Hi Bob - glad you liked it. The trick is to configure the watch face in the iPhone app. In there you should see the option to turn on BPM. I haven't tried it on my Series 0 watch but I can't think why it wouldn't be able to do it. If you want to send me screenshots or more questions, feel free to email me over at [email protected]
