Micro.blog is an independent and unique microblog and podcasting community created with privacy and safety in mind. It supports IndieWeb standards and gives you several options to host your blog and other content while making sure you keep control of it.
Rosemary gives you a tour of the various features that make Micro.blog a unique alternative to other social platforms and introduces you to some apps for Mac and iOS so you can get a native experience on your devices.
Update - As usual, we create our screencasts completely independently from the developers and as luck would have it, a couple of days before publication, Micro.blog launched a new component that we couldn't include in our original tutorial - Micro.blog for Teams.
This new feature doesn't change the core functionality of the service so the tutorial is still 100% accurate, but if you do want to create multi-user blogs for companies, families, schools, etc, you can now do so. So check out the screencast for the core functionality of Micro.blog, and if multi-user access is something that you might want to implement, checkout the developers blog post here for more information.

@rosemaryorchard - At 15.40, you delete a post from Micro.blog that was originally cross-posted to Mastodon, as well. Should I assume that this deletion process is deleting the post only from Micro.blog or is it deleting the post from Mastodon, as well?
Hi Kurt,
If you're using the cross posting feature then it won't delete a post sent to another network. It only deletes the micro.blog copy. Sorry this wasn't clear!
