If you have ever tried adding a new entry to a Numbers spreadsheet on your iPhone, you will know how fiddly it can get: tiny cells, lots of zooming, and taps that often land in the wrong place.

Lee shows a feature built right into Numbers on iPhone and iPad that tackles this problem directly, using a growing vinyl record collection as his real world example.

Along the way, you see how a form can adapt to different kinds of data, handling everything from simple text and dates all the way to specialised entry controls. It is one of those features that is easy to miss, but once you know it's there, you're likely to never go back and type straight into a table.

Lee is a nerd that has to work with spreadsheets a lot in his professional life and over the years has had to learn some of the more advanced functionality that Numbers can provide. So in this show, he's decided to share some of that with you and look at some functions that may have previously seemed quite daunting.

If you want to know how XLOOKUP can make pulling references from other tables a breeze, how functions like SUMIF and COUNTIF can add another dimension to your summaries, then this is the video for you. You also learn how to use nested functions, validate data entry, and format text automatically with functions like PROPER and TRIM. He follows this up by sharing 10 of his favourite tips and tricks, which he uses almost daily when working with Numbers. Don is using the latest version of Numbers which runs on macOS 14.0 or later.
