There are a lot of scenarios where it can be advantageous to take notes with paper and pencil, but going back and finding what you need later can be a pain. With GoodNotes for iOS, you can get the best of both worlds by combining the flexibility and retention benefits of analog note taking with digital search features that use Optical Character Recognition (OCR).
In this tutorial, Mike introduces you to the different note-taking tools in GoodNotes while demoing sketchnoting, a visual note taking method that is typically used when listening to something you're interested in. You learn how to utilize those tools in GoodNotes, convert your handwritten notes into text, as well as search your documents after you've created them. Mike also shows you how to import document templates into GoodNotes, and export your documents after you're done.

This is awesome! Thanks for making this one, Mike. I would love to see a Part Two with more use cases and the other advanced features.
Thanks! Those are my main use cases at the moment, but I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it and I'll be thinking about what a possible part 2 could include.
I agree with Dennis...this was a great episode because it was highlighting the practical application of the tool. I deeper dive would be awesome!
Is it possible to have your templete of dominating your day?
Hi Gerardo, right now it's something that is only available to my coaching clients and will also be included with the purchase of my course, so I'm hesitant to make those available for free. If you like the idea though and want something similar, David Sparks has some PDF templates you can download for free on his site: https://www.macsparky.com/blog/2019/3/goodnotes-and-planner-forms
I also enjoyed very much, Mike and would love to see a part 2
Thanks Bob!
Thanks Bob!
Thanks Bob!
Ok, I've had enough people ask about the form that I created a quick landing page for it. If you want to download it, you can now do so at http://mikeschmitz.me/planning/
P.S. Not sure why this page keeps submitting a comment from me every day :)
