It's been a while since we kicked the tyres on Pages for Mac, so Lee thought it was time to take a look at some of the more advanced features the app has to offer. It's far more than just a word processing application. In fact, we create the ScreenCastsONLINE Monthly Magazine using Pages! So in this video, Lee goes over the difference between a word processing document and page layout document, and looks at advanced settings for creating margins, tab stops, laying out your page and formatting your text. He also shows you charts, how to review documents with Track Changes, as well as reverting to previous versions of your files, and much more.
Pages for Mac requires macOS 13.0 or later.

I've been using a variety of file formats and tools to create documents on my Mac and I think I've pretty much decided to switch over to using Pages as my default when plain text won't suffice. Prior to being a Mac guy, I was a Microsoft Windows developer for a couple of decades. I had been tinkering around with Pages and it seemed pretty powerful but I had no idea of its real power until watching this video lesson. This was a very clear and concise explanation of how to use Pages and it reinforced my decision to switch to Pages as my main documentation tool. Thank you.
I was similar to you Jason, having spent years as a Windows engineer. Back then, Pages was always portrayed as a pretty version of Word without the power under the hood, however I soon realised that wasn't the case. I still learnt bits from creating the outline for this video though (as I do for most) so pleased to see it landed for you.
It definitely did. While I was doing development work, I often taught classes to other engineers and found out that teaching others was the best way for me to learn new features that I wasn't so familiar with. Even, what I considered to be, esoteric features ended up being really useful in real-world scenarios.
