Lee is back with another weekly tip, and this one starts from an observation rather than a feature. Most of what he covers today lives in a single pane in Settings, Accessibility, and hardly anyone ever opens it. The name does the damage, because it tells you the contents are meant for somebody else. In fact it is where Apple has quietly put some of the most useful things iPhone can do, and the label on the door is putting everybody off.
Inside, Lee finds a way to hand your phone to a child and lock them into one app, a hidden pair of buttons on the back of the device that you likely were never told about, and an answer to the everyday problem of not being able to reach the top of a screen that keeps getting taller. There is more after that, including something your iPhone will listen out for on your behalf and a trick for anyone who has lost their voice. Lee wraps up with a final feature that fixes the one app you find hardest to read without changing anything else on the device.

When you pass away, everything stored in your Apple Account — photos, messages, notes, documents, years of memories — could be locked away permanently. Most people assume a family member can simply log in with their password, but Apple's Terms and Conditions explicitly prevent this, and Apple can close the account entirely if they discover the holder has died.
Fortunately, Apple has had a built-in solution since 2021 called Legacy Contact. In this show Lee walks you through everything you need to know to protect your digital estate. You learn how to set up a Legacy Contact (you can have up to 5) on iPhone, iPad, and Mac in just a few minutes, what data your chosen person will and won't be able to access, how to store your Access Key so it can actually be found when it's needed. You also find out the important fact about subscriptions: they don't cancel themselves! Lee also show you how your loved one's survivor goes about requesting access through Apple's Digital Legacy portal.

Just when he thought he knew lots about macOS, Lee discovered some functionality by accident when moving some windows. The small icon, to the left of the file name, can do a surprising amount if you take the time to build a workflow. In this video, Lee shows you how to drag and drop files, rename them, assign them tags as well as create a version control strategy all from the Title Bar of an application window. A genuine tip video!

In this video, Lee shows you how you can use the Help menu to browse User Guides, find menu commands, get updates on new features, and even control your menu bar just from the keyboard — no mouse required!

Whenever Apple announces a new operating system, there is a keynote accompanied by some fanfare for some marquee features. However sometimes, the smaller changes that are also part of the release are missed whilst we focus elsewhere. iOS 18 is no exception and there are some great updates that may have passed you by. In this video, Lee shows you 20 of those little gems, including changes and improvements to Photos, Camera, Battery management, the Home Screen, Control Centre, the Phone app, and much more.

There are third-party tools you can buy on macOS that provide dedicated clipboard management, however if you use Alfred with a Powerpack license, you may not realise that you already have the excellent Clipboard History feature. Lee shows you in this video how he uses it daily to copy and paste text, images, and files between locations using keyboard shortcuts, of course. You also learn how Alfred Snippets integrate with Clipboard History to make typing even more efficient.
Alfred runs on macOS 10.14 (Mojave) and newer.

If you want to get to items quickly on macOS, you don't have to use a third-party launcher program such as Alfred, LaunchBar or Raycast. For years, there has been a built-in utility at your fingertips, and that's Spotlight, which has received a lot of love from Apple recently. It's more than just a way to get to your files and launch applications and in this video, Lee shows you many different use cases for it, many of which might be new to you.
