Tutorial Description

This show covers the old version of of the application - an updated version of the tutorial is being planned!

With the release of full iCloud support in Mountain Lion, we can now start using "Documents In The Cloud" as it was intended. As well as the new OS, Apple simultaneously released new Mac and iOS versions of their iWork applications - Keynote, Pages and Numbers.

Whilst not containing any new functionality, the new versions of the Apps allow for the seamless transfer of documents and files between iWork apps on OSX and iWork apps on iOS.

So this tutorial is the first to explore the hidden depths of iWork on iOS - starting with an introductory look at KeyNote for iOS. Many people, myself included, have not adopted the iOS iWork apps due to the difficulties of file transfer. Now that has been resolved, iWorks on iOS becomes a credible tool, and you may be surprised at just how capable they are.

In this first of a two part tutorial on KeyNote for iOS I take a look at some basic principles of Keynote and how Apple have re-engineered Keynote to use a Touch interface. It's beautifully done, and great fun to use.

In the next tutorial, I take a look at some more advanced features, including transitions and animations, as well as demonstrating some tools built into Keynote to help you use your iPad or iPhone to deliver a Keynote presentation.

This full tutorial includes sections on:

  • Introduction to Keynote
  • Keynote Basics
  • Managing & Navigating Slides
  • Working With Objects

This is absolutely classic SCO. Yet again, a piece of software that I just have had a mental block about and this tutorial not only tears down my resistance, but makes me eager to do a presentation. Top notch and brilliant. Thank you.
