Tutorial Description

Many of us struggle with overusing our devices. Too much content streaming, social media, you name it. Today's app, "one sec" works with Siri Shortcuts to create space between when you open an app and actually being able to access it.  Covered in full detail in April of last year, "one sec" has since been updated with several new features, including allowing users to learn a language as a healthy alternative to overusing the aforementioned apps.  Join Darcy as he goes over these new features, which are sure to make your "one sec" experience even better, with additional and useful customising.

"one sec" requires iOS 15 or newer, macOS 12 or newer, and visionOS 1.0 or newer.

Hi Darcy,
Thanks for this. I remember trying the previous generation of these kinds of content blockers and I always liked the idea but found the implementation a little heavy handed. This feels like a much more thoughtful (or mindful?) approach to both the problem and response. The “re-intervention” function seems like a great example of this.

The only issue I have with One Sec - and it seems an increasing issue amongst developers - is that they don’t supply info on pricing. I’m assuming this is revealed once I download the app, but it would be nice to know what i’m getting into before doing that.

Cheers,
Chris

Hey Chris, thanks for the comment. I’m the same, and especially before looking at reviewing an app I like to know what it will cost myself or viewers of my videos. In the case of One Sec, because it’s downloaded from the App Store you can actually find all the pricing into towards the bottom of the download page, under ‘In-App Purchases’. One Sec offers monthly, yearly or lifetime purchase tiers. Hope that helps!

Thanks Darcy,

That's my mistake. I should have looked more closely.

Cheers,
Chris
